IN THE ARTIST’S WORDS
In Axis of Harmony, I bring Egyptian-inspired symbols into a composition shaped by symmetry, unity and balance. The ankh anchors the work as an expression of life and connection, while the scarab evokes renewal and the unfolding lotus suggests emergence.
Horus’s right eye is associated with the sun and his left with the moon; the restored Eye of Horus carries meanings of healing, protection and wholeness. In this work, I interpret their pairing as complementary forces: day and night, outward energy and inward restoration, held in harmony.
Mirrored wings and gateways extend that balance. A subtle glow within the crown gemstone suggests living energy, while blue, teal and violet find continuity through warm gold.
Repeated macro inspection guided the refinement of gemstone depth, engraved borders, petal overlaps, delicate bindings and miniature architectural joins. My ambition was to push this collection’s craftsmanship further, giving each detail purpose while preserving the clarity and spiritual presence of the whole.

Six details from Axis of Harmony

DETAIL 01
The living crown
I gave the crown gemstone a contained inner glow, allowing teal light to move through darker crystalline pockets. The gold horns frame that energy at the highest point of the work.

DETAIL 02
The central axis
I use the ankh to hold the composition together. Its slender gold borders and blue inlay create a steady centre around which the paired forms find their balance.

DETAIL 03
Renewal in flight
For me, the scarab brings renewal into the centre of the design. Layered blue and teal wings extend its presence, with fine gold borders connecting individual feathers to the whole.

DETAIL 04
Solar and lunar balance
I interpret the paired eyes through their solar and lunar associations: day and night, outward energy and inward restoration. Refined gold surrounds give each eye a distinct but related presence.

DETAIL 05
A protected centre
I refined the cord-like enclosure and its small binding around the oval gemstone. Their joined strands suggest protection and continuity, while the stone carries colour through the lower composition.

DETAIL 06
The sanctuary below
I brought the unfolding lotus between mirrored gateways and rising stairways. Engraved gold accents, overlapping petals and miniature connections give this lower sanctuary its layered structure.
